MICRO WEDDING AT CHÂTEAU DE VILLERS-EN-OUCHE IN NORMANDY

One of our favorite trends in the past seasons is micro weddings. These are small weddings for groups under 50 people for those who would love to combine an elopement with some of the more traditional wedding celebration elements. For their wedding Anna and Artem invited only 20 of their closest friends for a day and night celebration in a beautiful family estate in Normandy - Château de Villers-en-Ouche

Having such a small gathering allowed us to have a very relaxed schedule of the day. We've started with a glass of champagne and hair and make up for the bride and all of her girlfriends done by Sasha, who is the fastest hair and make up artist I know. When you have a large group to get ready fast she is definitely your girl for the job! We even had some time for a morning of the bride photoshoot by the swimming pool, which then merged into a couple photoshoot with their dog - it was important for Anna and Artem to include him in the celebration :)

Next, we got ready for the ceremony and had the first look privately in the gorgeous salon with the grand piano. Anna prepared a special piece of music that she played on the piano to surprise Artem. It was so emotional and beautiful. Our amazing videographer Lana has captured it all on video! After that it was time for the symbolic ceremony officiated by one of their friends. All the guests were requested to wear bright color clothes and the flower and table decor were all vibrant too. We danced, took fun photos by the pool, played games, took instant film photos and had yummy food and wine, all with the soundtrack of the couple's favorite music playing in the portable USB speaker that went everywhere with us. Intimate, personal and emotional - this celebration had it all!

So if you are considering eloping in a French château but would still like to include some of your closest people in your celebration, then a micro wedding is for you and we can help with a lot of the steps of planning, like location selection, vendors (hair and make up, florist, social media content creator, artistic director, DJ, catering). If you've finished reading this post to the end you are probably wondering who are social media content creator and artistic director and why you need them for your wedding? In the next post we will talk more about these new vendors and why it would be a good idea to include them into planning your unique celebtation!
