About TheGuendels | Wedding Photographer & Videographer in Paris

We’re Ana & Fede of TheGuendels, a wedding photography and videography team based in Paris and working across Europe.

We’ve been married since 2013, and our story is a truly international one. Fede grew up in Costa Rica, Ana in Russia — we met in Vienna, and after getting married, decided to start our family in a new country, eventually settling in France.

Between the two of us, we speak English, French, Spanish, Russian, German, and Italian, which makes working across Europe feel natural — whether we’re traveling for a wedding or simply connecting with people from different backgrounds.

Our approach is best described as a directed documentary. We observe and let moments unfold naturally, while also offering gentle guidance when needed — helping you feel at ease in front of the camera and creating space for images that feel honest, relaxed, and true to you.

Ahead of the wedding day, we take the time to understand what matters most to you — the atmosphere you want to create, the emotions you want to remember, and the story you want your images and video to tell.

Fede’s background is rooted in fashion and film photography, while Ana began in portrait photography. Together, we’ve developed a shared visual language across photography and video — elegant, editorial, and timeless.

We’re the parents of three children — Dante, Luca, and Valentina — and our experience with them has deeply shaped the way we photograph families.

We understand how quickly seasons change and how meaningful it is to preserve milestones as they unfold. Building long-term relationships with the people we photograph matters to us, which is why many of our couples continue to invite us into their lives — from engagement and wedding days to pregnancies, baptisms, birthdays, and family portraits over the years.

Over the years, our work has evolved beyond fixed roles. While Ana often leads photography and Fede focuses on video, we can also work together as a photo team or as a video team, depending on what your day requires.

Some couples book us for both photo and video. Others book us as a video-only team alongside another photographer, or as a photo team paired with another videographer. When additional coverage makes sense, we collaborate with trusted creatives — including a dedicated iPhone wedding content creator and experienced second photo or video shooters.

All post-production is handled within our extended team and personally overseen by us, ensuring consistency and care from capture to final delivery.

Our priority is always to build the right team structure for your wedding, rather than fitting your day into a predefined formula.

I can't say enough good things about Anastasia's work. But I can say that choosing her as my wedding photographer was the best investment we made! Anastasia and Federico flew to Chicago to photograph our wedding! We are so lucky to have them with us on our special day. They did an incredible job capturing every moment and feeling of the day. They have incredible artistic ability and a great eye and made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day. They did a beautiful job retouching and editing the photos and got them back to us so quickly. I love that the photos look so natural and really capture who we are as a couple. We constantly look at photos and are instantly taken back to that day. There are many talented photographers out there, but none with the attention to detail and care like Anastasia and Federico did!
