Photographing at a Michelin star restaurant has always been on my bucket list of dream locations and this was the day it came true! Not only did I get to shoot at 1 Michelin star Restaurant H, but it was the wedding of the chef himself, so every detail was planned to perfection and the party was full of Parisian culinary stars enjoying themselves in the typical french art de vivre (the art of living) way. Living in the moment and enjoying it to the fullest, but doing it in style and with a lot of champagne - that's Tatiana and Huber's big day in a nutshell.
This French-Russian wedding in August is a perfect example of what can be done in just short 8 hours if the planning is just right!
We have split the day into a morning part starting with couple portrait session in the iconic parisian backdrops at the Louvre, rue Saint-Dominique and Alexandre III bridge, followed by the civil wedding ceremony at the city hall of the 17éme arrondissement. Hair and make up of the bride (and also some of her family and bridesmaids) was done by Kateryna Zozulia.
It's a beautiful story that started with a dream. When Sarah and Josh started planning their wedding, Josh asked Sarah what her little girl's dream wedding was and she said it was a chateau in a French countryside, something with an old European charm in it, the intimacy of the close circle of family and friends. Then the guys started researching what was available and checking prices and it turned out that having a small destination wedding in a French castle may be not as expensive as they thought and can become a reality! They chose a magnificent Château de Miserai in Normandy for their wedding and me as the photographer.
